...that I'm pretty much on hiatus. I already said I wouldn't be working on the map this two weeks, but I guess that includes uploading it. I'm so bad at keeping internet related promises. :megusta:

I just tried making a new map on the Gargamel seed, and expanding the map size to maximum... But then I forgot to enter the seed, and I spawned in a cave. While I was trying to get my bearings, gravity suddenly kicked in and I burned alive in lava.

I know at least one person actually notices this from time to time, so maybe that's a bit more inspiration than, "I started this, if I don't finish it I'm going to look like a total dick."
I haven't worked on this since maybe Thursday, and since then I've been hanging out with the friends I mentioned, and playing Oblivion and Cthulhu Saves the World.
Ves Kanal is on the very verge of being completely built; the basic NPCs and some realism touches still need to be added.
It might be a while before I'm ready to start scripting everything (not in the actual sense of script blocks, lol, I'm terrible with those things as of now), but don't worry, up until the player reaches Therindel, I'm about 98% certain of how all of the events are supposed to be. There's just the issue of the one after Ves Kanal that's going to slow things down, since I'm not sure if it's even possible to do...
Anyway I'll try and see if these oh-so-important bit.ly redirects are easy to use, or if I can even figure out how they're any different from media fire, hehe.
So if I can get around to uploading the map anytime soon, I'll also try to upload Zero Stability, as it is thus far.
Edit: Zero Stability is a map I started making to get the excitement of random ideas out of my head, by making a map that changed dynamically and senselessly to all sorts of structures and terrains. In the process of writing the story for Legend of the Adminium Caverns, I found a way that Zero Stability could be worked into the story as a sort of prequel. However at that point I had already ceased work on ZS in order to focus on LotAC.

Okay, so here:
I reeeaaaally just don't feel like working with triggers and stuff the past few days. I just feel like building the stuff. And I don't feel like remembering what the systems in place do, so I might end up redoing the conversations to make sure they're done correctly.
But look, even if I don't have shit scripted, how about this:

In the mean time, I would like to tease everyone (nobody) with this screenshot of Amissis Domi.
So, here's how this works. Amissis Domi is not a very majestic village. Let's be honest, it's a pile of crud. (Intentionally). Ves Kanal is nicer, but it isn't exactly lavish. But then, Therindel.... Therindel is prosperous, beautiful (ideally), and elaborate.

I spent like, an HOUR just noclipping around in the ocean, and you know what I found?
NOTHING.
Gargamel island is the ONLY landmass I can find, and I spent, as I said already, a lot of time looking. I found vast expanses of ocean, going all the way down, TO BEDROCK. FFFFF.
I have two ideas for expansions, one of which I was making before I even realized it's potential to be an expansion. So even if I decide against working in the expansion angle, I'll probably still release that.
Both of the expansions are prequels, though, so.. ye.
One of the ideas was the founding of Gargamel, by people fleeing another landmass for whatever reason. I was hoping to be able to have the player arrive, at the end, on the actual island of Gargamel. But in order to do that now, I'd have to create a whole new landmass my self...

My Off time
I'll be releasing a playable version of LotAC sometime next week up to the river dungeon, with the ability to take a look at the buildings in Ves Kanal. Ves Kanal will be entirely built, but unscripted. It's features will be subject to change, but that won't happen unless necessary. The next update after that will probably be limited to the sewer dungeon, and as well, it might not come out for several weeks, due to some friends who live out of town visiting for a couple of weeks.
In my off time I'll be playing Minecraft on the Gargamel seed, Terraria, and probably various Xbox whatevers.
Not that anybody is reading this, and I'm sure nobody will be until this is actually released, and even then, maybe not until it gets added to map downloads.

I'm gonna start from the bottom, going up, and in COOLLOOORRRRR :D
Green: This is the location of the cliff hanging under which Amissis Domi is located.
Blue: This is the path you follow to Ves Kanal.
Yellow: This is the clearing where Ves Kanal is built.
Red: The darkened green blotch inside here is the grassy canyon where I will be building Therindel.
Pink: These are natural entrances to the canyon.
Cyan: This is where I plan on adding a compass rose in the future.
Edit: Shit, okay, so color doesn't work for some reason. Adding Words.
I encourage anyone interested in the map to start up the seed and take a look around! And if you find any cool places, let me know, I might wanna use'em. ;)
And if you find any other lands... Especially let me know. I have the story planned, But there's room for an expansion. ;)

Delays
So, due to bugs in the process of being fixed, a Matrix marathon, a doctor appointment, and general other things I want to do, the release is pushed back as far as Wednesday, maybe Friday.

I decided I'll elaborate on Domi later. I'm laying the ground work for Ves Kanal, and I've further established the design of the sewers.

Blog work
So I added a wiki page for lotac to the AC wikki. I linked here at the bottom, so I've deleted all of the old pages where shit didn't work out for C37.
Wakin up in the mornin....
OKAY SO LAST NIGHT I WAS KIND OF TIRED AND DISTRACTED:
Today I will be finishing the NPC convos in Domi, and the Mausoleum, but for some reason, the gate mechanism in Domi is missing a piece. I can't figure out for the life of me why. So now I have to rebuild that.

Day 2 of Workin' Hard
So today I finished the path, constructed the rivery lake pond thing and the bridge, and I've built 98% of the mausoleum. Now I'm working on NPC conversations, the enemy enounters for the dungeon, and then the retextures for leather and ancient chests.
I'm hoping to begin work on the bridge dungeon tomorrow.
I'm releasing a playable version when:
-Amissis Domi is Complete
-Mausoleum is complete
-Path is complete
-Bridge dungeon is complete
-Ves Kanal is built
If you look around in the items a little at that point, I'm sure you'll find some hidden gems from future versions that I've already reskinned and/or renamed...
